Karla Nugent began their work experience in 2000 at Inflow Data Centers, where they worked in business automation until 2002. In 2002, they joined Weifield Group Contracting as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Karla Nugent attended Colorado State University from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
