Niklas Mertsch is a consultant at wega Informatik AG since May 2022, following a role as a master thesis candidate at Universitätsmedizin Göttingen from April 2021 to March 2022, where Niklas focused on automating lab processes using SiLA 2 and contributed to developing a Python reference implementation of the SiLA 2 standard. Previous experience includes working as a student teaching assistant at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where Niklas taught data analysis and Python programming, and as a student research assistant maintaining and developing the in-house software suite "SDF." Niklas holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, both from the University of Göttingen.
