Joerg Fruechtel is an experienced IT consultant with a strong background in research and development within the pharmaceutical and animal health sectors. Currently serving as an IT Consultant and Project Manager at wega Informatik AG since October 2021, Joerg is responsible for implementing digital lab platforms. Previously, from January 2015 to September 2021, Joerg contributed as a Consultant R&D IT at Elanco, providing IT leadership and technical solutions across various functional areas. Prior experience includes roles as R&D IT Manager and Senior Principal Scientist at Novartis Animal Health, with a focus on managing cross-functional research projects and IT project management. Initial research expertise was developed at Intervet Schering Plough and Novartis, alongside a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Tübingen.
