Managing Director at RiverVest Venture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm formed in 2000 and currently managing assets of roughly $1 billion. Immediately prior, Mr. Rapp served as president and chief executive officer of JDRF, the world’s largest non-government funder of diabetes research and a leading advocacy group for the type 1 diabetes community. Previously, Mr. Rapp was Chief Executive Officer of Divergence Inc., a biotech startup that discovered products for the diagnosis and treatment of parasitic infections with applications in crop protection, animal health, and human health. He also served as Monsanto Company’s head of mergers and acquisitions and licensing and as director of investor relations. Mr. Rapp earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. from Brown University.
