Chetak Shetty, PhD has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific field. Chetak started their career at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from July 2010 to February 2012. Chetak then joined Novartis as a Senior scientific writer II, where they served as the Lead for NET-Oncology Scientific Communications in Global Medical Affairs from March 2012 to August 2016. Currently, Chetak holds the position of Head- Medical and Editorial at WebMD since August 2016. Chetak Shetty, PhD attended K.J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, University of Mumbai from 2000 to 2003, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Science with a major in Microbiology and vocational Biotechnology. From 2003 to 2006, they pursued their Masters in Biology (Research) at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai, specializing in Developmental Neurogenetics. Finally, from 2006 to 2010, Chetak Shetty completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of Zurich, focusing on Molecular Systems Biology with a research emphasis on Genomic instability.
