Phenola Lawrence is currently serving as Vice President at Weber Shandwick since August 2023. Previously, Phenola held the position of Vice President for Healthcare Communications at Ogilvy from June 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leading healthcare clients in public relations campaigns, media relations, and crisis management. Before Ogilvy, Phenola was a Senior Director at REQ, overseeing digital marketing plans and leading a cross-functional team from July 2017 to June 2021. Earlier roles include Manager at Avalere Health from May 2015 to June 2017, focusing on marketing and communications for healthcare policy stakeholders, and various positions at FleishmanHillard from October 2011 to April 2015, managing media relations and issues management for clients. Phenola initiated a career in communications as a Digital Intern at Edelman in 2011 and served as a Communications Assistant at CentroNía in 2010. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Relations/Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism/Sociology from Penn State University.
