Mafe Balthazar Henao is a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations, graduating summa cum laude. Currently serving as a Public Relations Trainee in Client Experience at Weber Shandwick, Mafe has worked with prominent clients such as McDonald's and IBM. Previous experience includes roles as an Account Manager at The Carolina Agency, where strategic campaigns were developed for clients including SASS Go and the SC State Treasury. Mafe has demonstrated leadership as the Marketing Lead for the Invent 2 Prevent Competition Team and as a member of the Bateman Case Study Competition Team, where notable campaigns were recognized. Additional internship roles at the UofSC Office of the Provost and Welcoming America, coupled with contributions as an Arts & Culture Writer for The Daily Gamecock, reflect a strong background in public relations and communications. Mafe also enhanced marketing skills through a study abroad program at The American Business School of Paris.
