Ed Black has extensive work experience in various roles within the media industry. Ed started their career as a Graduate Trainee and Staff News Reporter at the Daily Express in 1998, where they worked until 2002. Ed then joined The Scotsman in 2003, where they served as a Staff News and Sports Reporter, Columnist, and Diary Editor until 2006. Following this, they worked at the Evening Standard from 2006 to 2009, taking on the role of a Writer and Section Editor. Most recently, Ed Black has been working at Weber Shandwick since 2010 as a Senior Account Manager.

Ed Black attended The University of Edinburgh from 1998 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
