I am a Co-Founder and currently the CTO at SeMI Technologies - the company behind the open-source vector search engine Weaviate. I have a deep-tech background with a focus on distributed systems, and cloud technology. My current research interests are auto-scaling databases and new vector-index types, making vector search more resource-efficient at scale.

I believe that the most important fact for team productivity is long-term team health. This includes social safety, happiness, time and space for managing tech debt, room for creativity and passion, enabling each other, and having an atmosphere to learn every day - from one another, and independently.
