Mark Gordon has worked in the software engineering field since 2007. Mark began as a Summer Intern for Internet 2 in 2007, followed by three Google Internships from 2008 to 2012. Mark then served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at The University of Michigan from 2010 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Clinc, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer and designed and implemented fundamental architecture changes to enable scalability, configured the Clinc stack to run and scale within the Kubernetes orchestration platform, and worked on automation in the QA process to help ensure customer success. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer for WeaveGrid.

Mark Gordon received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2010, followed by their Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2012.
