Deborah Espitia possesses extensive experience in education, particularly in language instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as the lead author for "EntreCulturas 3," a Spanish textbook at Wayside Publishing since October 2015, Deborah has also held various instructional roles, including coaching new Spanish immersion teachers for the Delaware Department of Education and serving as an instructional strategist for the Peace Corps. Deborah’s teaching background spans multiple levels, with significant tenure at Howard County Public Schools, where responsibilities included teaching Spanish to middle and high school students, coordinating the World Languages and ESOL program, and providing professional development for educators. Prior teaching roles include positions at Hampton City Schools, Cape Charles Public Schools, and the Peace Corps in Colombia. Deborah holds a B.S. in Education with a focus on Spanish from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and additional education from The Johns Hopkins University and Universidad de Valladolid.
