Brenden Kennedy is the current Director at wayOUT. Brenden has also previously served as the Vice President Marketing & Creative Services at Donald Pliner from March 2018 to April 2020. During their time there, they conceived and led all creative/marketing initiatives, including wholesale strategies, asset creation & development, and e-commerce campaigns.
Under Kennedy's leadership, the company saw a reduction and eventual elimination of their reliance on outside agencies. This allowed for a 4X increase in assets created with a 90% decrease in creative production spend. Kennedy also developed a brand segmentation strategy that resulted in a 2X growth in major wholesale accounts and reducing promotional pressure on direct channels.
In addition, Kennedy created a social media strategy by channel that improved consumer engagement, customer service response, and saw a 30% organic growth on Instagram. Brenden also headed the creation of key investor materials, which opened up conversation for investor/acquisition/license opportunities in and out of the footwear industry.
Lastly, Kennedy oversaw key leadership transition points, advising the CEO on critical roles, operations, facilities & contracts. Brenden also reviewed real estate contracts and negotiations in consolidating multiple offices/showroom into one flexible hybrid space; overseeing the design of said space.
