Joseph Smith is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Wayne State University, expected to graduate in April 2025. Prior to this, Joseph accumulated extensive engineering experience, serving as a Product Engineer at Toyoda Gosei Americas from December 2018 to November 2023, where responsibilities included the design and development of automotive sealing systems, customer support, and root cause analysis. Joseph also held a Product Engineer position at The Portable Factory, focusing on rapid prototyping and vibration damping solutions, and completed a Mechanical Engineer Co-op at Stanley Engineered Fastening, working on design verification and product development. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, earned between 2013 and 2017, and is a graduate of Romeo High School, class of 2013.
