Yingying Chen is a Software Engineer at Waymo since December 2022, specializing in the Planner Eval team to build an evaluation platform. Prior to this role, Yingying held the position of Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Yelp from October 2019 to December 2022, where leadership of the Traffic Quality team contributed to the Trust & Safety group under Applied Machine Learning, developing real-time bot detection and UGC moderation platforms. Yingying also served as a Research Engineer at Berkeley DeepDrive in 2018, focusing on autonomous vehicle projects and creating the annotation platform Scalabel. Earlier career experience includes co-founding Jianglin Technologies Co. in 2015, a startup dedicated to developing SaaS solutions for fashion designers. Yingying holds a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Engineering and Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has completed a graduate course in Deep Generative Models at Stanford University.
