Gen Liu is a Senior Software Engineer at Waymo since March 2020, bringing extensive experience from previous roles at Google as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer from June 2014 to March 2020. Gen's early career includes a Software Engineer Intern position at Zynga in 2012, focusing on distributed system techniques and proposing a cost-effective distributed storage infrastructure. In addition, Gen served as a Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego for courses in Java Programming and Database System Concepts. Gen holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego (2011-2014) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2007-2011).
