Joe Vellella has a diverse work experience in various industries. Joe started their career as a Materials Engineer at Honeywell FM&T, where they led the coordination of material development and product qualification efforts. Joe then joined GELITA as a Process Engineer, where they successfully led a process study resulting in cost-effective solutions and improved manufacturing cycle time. At Terumo BCT, Joe held multiple roles, including Sr Process Development Engineer and Manufacturing Project Engineer. Joe spearheaded updates to procurement and SAP processes, led capital equipment projects, and implemented manufacturing processes at a new site. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at WaveLynx Technologies Corporation.

Joe Vellella completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2015. Joe further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Science - MS in Engineering Management from South Dakota Mines between 2018 and 2020. In 2022, Joe attended The Odin Project to enhance their skills in Full Stack Javascript, although they did not receive a degree.
