Andrew Ginter

VP Industrial Security at Waterfall Security Solutions

Andrew Ginter has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Andrew started their career as a Software Developer at ACTC Technologies in 1982 and worked there until 1987. Andrew then founded their own company, Ginter & Associates, where they served as the CEO from 1987 to 1992. Andrew Ginter then joined Hewlett-Packard in 1992 as a Software Engineer and Project Manager, and they worked there until 1999. Andrew then joined Agilent Technologies as a Software Project Manager for a year before moving to Industrial Defender. At Industrial Defender, they held multiple positions including Director of Software Development from 2000 to 2005 and Chief Technology Officer from 2005 to 2008. Andrew then served as the Chief Security Officer from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, Andrew Ginter joined Abterra Technologies as their Chief Technology Officer and worked there until 2011. After that, they joined Waterfall Security Solutions and started as the Industrial Security Director in 2011. Andrew was then promoted to the role of VP Industrial Security in 2013 and continues to work there. Additionally, in 2017, Andrew Ginter became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Michigan Technological University, a position they held until 2019.

Andrew Ginter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calgary, completing their studies from 1978 to 1982. Andrew further pursued their education in Computer Science and attained a Master of Science degree from the same university, completing it between 1989 and 1992. In addition to their academic achievements, Andrew Ginter has obtained several certifications including Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) from the International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3) in January 2008, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 in January 2005, and Information Systems Professional (ISP) from the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) in January 2004.
