Geert Jacobs has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Geert began their career in 1999 as a Directeur Management Services at BelCompany, where they worked until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they served as the Director of BelCompany BV: The Discovery Store. Geert then joined Macintosh Intragroup Services in 2010, initially as the Director of Corporate Treasury and later taking on the role of Director of New business/Finance. In 2016, they held the position of Finance Director at Dafra Pharma before becoming the CFO for the European subsidiaries of GADOT Group at VLS-Group. Geert then worked as the Treasury/Finance Director/CFO a.i. at a listed fashion retail company from 2018 to 2020. Geert served as the Head of Finance/CFO at the Antwerp World Diamond Centre in 2020 and as the Group Controller at Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems from June 2021 to November 2021. Geert is currently the Manager of Accounting at water-link, starting in December 2021.

Geert Jacobs has a diverse education history. Geert received their Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool from 1990 to 1993. After that, they pursued further education in fiscal law, specializing in Tax Law/Taxation, at Belgische Kamer der Rekenplichtigen from 1993 to 1996. Geert also attended Vlerick Business School, where they completed a Master Class in Corporate Finance between 2006 and 2007. Later, they enrolled in the Retail Academy at Vlerick Business School, participating in a broad retail program from 2010 to 2012.
