Chris Freimund currently serves as the US Program Manager at Water For People, providing thought leadership to shape the organization's US WASH strategy and exploring avenues for impact. Prior to this role, Chris was the Director of Development at Watershed Progressive, overseeing the Development Hub and contributing to strategic planning and budgeting. Experience includes serving as a Water Resources Project Developer with the U.S. Geological Survey, where Chris led a research project focusing on flood risk perception and watershed management, as well as a Project Design Specialist at the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center. Chris's diverse background also includes roles as a Graduate Outreach Assistant during studies at the University of Arizona, participation in the Peace Corps in Guatemala, and an undergraduate internship at The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center. Chris holds a Master's degree in Natural Resources from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and International Development from the University of Montana.
