James Lamdin started their work experience as a Motoring Advisor at BMW/MINI of Manhattan from November 2006 to December 2010. James then worked as a Pre-Owned Sales Manager at Classic Audi of Westchester from January 2011 to July 2011, and at Volkswagen of Manhattan from August 2011 to October 2011. James also worked as a Consultant/Contributor, DRIVEN at UrbanDaddy from April 2012 to September 2015 and as a Consultant at Cape Porpoise Outfitters from May 2012 to November 2015.

In 2012, James Lamdin founded Analog/Shift, a company that specializes in exceptional vintage wristwatches. James continued to work as the Founder of Analog/Shift from August 2012 to the present.

In 2015, they became a Founding Partner at RedBar Group, a position they still hold. James also worked as a Freelance Automotive Consultant from August 2001 to the present, assisting clients with various aspects of the automotive industry, with a focus on sourcing collector cars and analyzing classic vehicle valuation trends.

James Lamdin briefly worked as a Publisher for SHIFTed from January 2017 to December 2017.

Most recently, they joined Watches of Switzerland Group PLC, first as the Director of Vintage & Pre-Owned Timepieces from September 2020 to August 2022, and currently as the Vice President of Vintage & Pre-Owned Timepieces since July 2022.

James Lamdin received an Associate of Arts degree in Film from Bard College at Simon's Rock in 2003. James then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University in 2008.
