Chey Velasquez is an accomplished composer and guitarist with extensive experience in the music industry. Currently serving as a compositor at Warner Chappell Music since September 2020, Chey has previously collaborated with notable artists, including Vicente García and FONSECA, from 2008 to 2019. Early career highlights include performances with various groups, such as Cabuya and Malalma, and participation as a juror in the U ROCK festival in 2010. Chey received recognition as a composer from the Latin Grammy Academy in 2017, and has also enhanced guitar skills through workshops with renowned musicians Scott Henderson and Bruce Saunders. Chey holds a degree in music from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, earned between 1999 and 2001.
