Rachael Walker is a seasoned consultant and senior advisor with extensive experience in children's literacy and education outreach spanning over two decades. Currently, Rachael serves as a consultant for Children's Literacy and Education Outreach since 1999 and WETA since 2007, developing content and partnerships for prominent educational initiatives. As a senior advisor at Ward Circle Strategies since 2010, Rachael has worked on various public health and educational campaigns. Past roles include director of programs at Everybody Wins! DC, where Rachael focused on improving student literacy, and executive director at Reach Out and Read of Metro DC, managing a coalition to promote early literacy in pediatric settings. Rachael’s earlier experience as external relations officer for Reading Is Fundamental involved building partnerships and advocating for federal support for literacy services. Rachael holds degrees from West Virginia University and the University of Florida.
