Maggie Watts, MSW, LCSWA, is a dedicated social worker currently serving as a Social Work Care Manager for High-Risk Pregnancies at Wake County since February 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Field Organizer at NextGen America and an Advocacy and Organizing Intern at NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina. Maggie also contributed to domestic violence services as a Graduate Student Intern at the Compass Center for Women and Families and gained outreach experience as an Outreach and Education Intern at OASIS, Inc. While at Appalachian State University, Maggie worked as a Social Psychology Research Assistant under Dr. Andrew Monroe and was a founding member of Planned Parenthood Generation Action. Maggie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies from Appalachian State University. Additionally, educational experience includes study at Christ University in Bangalore, India.
