Simon O'Grady, CFA, currently serves as the Independent Chair of the Forestry Industry Safety Council and as an Independent Group Investment Committee Member for Waikato-Tainui. With extensive experience in investment management, O'Grady has held trustee and investment consultant roles since 2015, focusing on investment management, property development, and forestry ownership. O'Grady was General Manager and Chief Investment Officer at Kiwi Invest, overseeing $8 billion in multi-asset investments, and previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Kiwi Wealth. O'Grady's earlier experience includes significant leadership positions at Tyndall Investment Management and Suncorp Group, managing substantial fixed income and multi-asset portfolios. O'Grady also contributed as a Board Director and Vice Chair for the CFA Society of New Zealand and began a career in finance as a Portfolio Manager at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand after earning a Diploma in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Massey University.
