John Rounsaville, J.D. has a diverse work experience background. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Chip Pickering. John later served as Deputy Chief of Staff and then as Legislative Director for the same congressman. In 2004, they worked as a Policy Advisor for Governor Haley Barbour. John then returned to USDA Rural Development as State Director from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, they joined the City of Flowood as Economic Development Director, and in 2022, they became the VP of Strategic Services at Waggoner Engineering. Throughout their career, John Rounsaville has gained extensive expertise in government relations, legislative affairs, and strategic services.

John Rounsaville, J.D. has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Mississippi State University, and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same institution. John further pursued their education at the University of Mississippi School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Additionally, they attended the University of Mississippi for an undisclosed field of study.
