Sanjida Tanny has had a varied and successful career in communications and public relations. Sanjida started their career in 2014 as an Intern and Ambassador at hubdhaka, followed by a role as Communications Coordinator at Inspira Advisory & Consulting Limited in 2015. In the same year, they joined team engine - a campaign & communications hub for social good - as Content and Communications Coordinator. In 2016, Sanjida moved to Global Pass Technologies as Communications and Public Relations, where they were responsible for planning, developing, and implementing PR and Communication strategies. In 2017, they became Head of Content at Bangladesh Brand Forum and in 2018, they were Country Lead, Bangladesh at Young Founders School. In 2020, they joined Nisai Group as Marketing Communications Manager and in 2021, they were appointed Communications and Community Lead at wagely, where they are responsible for leading the communications, community engagement, and PR. Additionally, in 2021, Sanjida was Storytelling Lead at ShopUp, where they were in charge of establishing the story of one of the greatest startups in Bangladesh, and achieved PR BHags for their Series A investment.
Sanjida Tanny attended Indian Central School from 1998 to 2007. Sanjida then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from BRAC University from 2012 to 2016. During their time at BRAC University, they were awarded the Dean's List for Meritious Student in September 2012. In June 2020, they obtained a certification in Integrated Marketing Communications from Coursera.
