Hitson Shirley is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in commercial lending and education. Currently serving as a Community Banking Officer at WaFd Bank since August 2018, Hitson generates commercial loans in southern New Mexico. Concurrently, Hitson holds the position of SVP/Commercial Banker at First National Rio Grande, where oversight of commercial lending is a key responsibility. As an instructor at Dona Ana Community College, Hitson teaches courses in Business in a Global Society and Personal Finance. Previous experience includes roles as a Relationship Manager at the Bank of the West and as Vice President at Access Bank, focusing on the origination and management of commercial loan portfolios. Hitson is currently pursuing an MBA at New Mexico State University.
