Shaun Dowson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electronic design and power conversion, currently serving as Technical Director of Power Conversion at WAE since February 2024. Prior roles at WAE include Head of Electrical Product and Manager of Electronics Design from July 2021 to February 2024. Shaun previously worked at Williams Advanced Engineering as Principal Engineer in Electronics Design from March 2015 to July 2021, focusing on developing electric vehicle technology. Shaun's earlier experience includes roles as Senior Electronics Engineer at COM DEV EUROPE, Senior Electronic Design Engineer at LGC Forensics, and Electronic Design Engineer at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, contributing to projects ranging from satellite communication systems to DNA profiling instrumentation and space projects for the European Space Agency and NASA. Shaun holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Manchester University, earned between 2002 and 2006.
