Elizabeth Cox is an experienced professional in communications and community engagement, currently serving as Chief of Staff at Waco ISD since September 2022. Prior to this role, Elizabeth held the position of Executive Director of Communications & Community Engagement at Belton ISD from August 2017 to December 2021. Elizabeth's career also includes serving as Executive Director at HERdacity from June 2015 to June 2017 and various positions with U.S. Senator John Cornyn from September 2006 to July 2015, including Service Academy Nominations Coordinator and Deputy Regional Director for both Central and West Texas. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor's Degree with dual degrees in History and Human Development and Family Studies, specializing in Substance Abuse, from Texas Tech University between 2002 and 2007.
