Daniil Baturin

Co-Founder and Lead Architect at VyOS

Daniil Baturin has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Daniil co-founded VyOS in 2014, where they served as the Lead Architect. Daniil led the rewrite process of the project, implementing a new architecture using Python3 and XML. This resulted in a reduction of bugs and attracted more contributors. In 2015, they joined Sentrium as a Consultant, providing custom development and support for VyOS, as well as assisting in migration processes. Prior to that, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at AVyS Telecom S.A., where they played a crucial role in growing the network and conducting zero-downtime migrations. Daniil also worked as a Software Developer at Vyatta, a Brocade Company, from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have experience as a System Administrator in companies such as Souz-T, Promstroyneftegazproekt, and the Center for Technological Innovations at Tomsk Polytechnic University. In 2021, they became an official member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Daniil Baturin's education history is as follows:

From 2018 to 2022, Daniil attended Tomsk Edison Denisov Music College where they studied clarinet performance.

From 2005 to 2007, they attended Tomsk Polytechnic University and pursued a field of study in chemical engineering.

Additionally, Daniil has obtained several certifications. In January 2015, they completed "FP101x: Introduction to Functional Programming" from edX. In December 2014, they received a certification in "Programming Languages" from Coursera Verified Certificates. In October 2013, they obtained the "VyOS Maintainers" certification from VyOS. In July 2013, Daniil became a "Brocade Certified vRouter Engineer 2013" from Brocade. Furthermore, they acquired the "CCNA" certification from Cisco in June 2021 and the "VyOS Certified Network Engineer" certification from VyOS in April 2020. Finally, in October 2014, they completed the "CCNA Routing and Switching" certification from Cisco.
