Barry Magenya has experience working as an Optical Engineer at Vuzix Corporation since June 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Virtual Reality Camera Design Project Coordinator at the University of Rochester from October 2017 to May 2018. In 2016, they participated in the ITMO Laser Conference and gained knowledge about laser applications through seminars, lab tours, and lectures. Barry also worked as a Research Assistant at ITMO University from May 2016 to July 2016. Earlier in their career, they were a Technical Assistant for the Climate Change Project from January 2013 to January 2014.

Barry Magenya completed their education history with a degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester, where they attended from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their secondary education at Alliance High School from 2009 to 2012, and received a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a field of study in High School.
