Amber Carpenter has a diverse and extensive work experience in the vacation rental industry and academia. Amber is currently the Vice President of Product at VTrips, where they are responsible for creating a next-generation web platform and booking engine solution, as well as implementing analytics and metrics to drive informed decision-making. Amber is also an Adjunct Professor at Brown University, teaching a course on "Big Data, Machine Learning, and AI for Digital Enterprises" in the Masters of Technology graduate program. Previously, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Oregon State University and has held various roles such as Product Manager at KeyData Dashboard and Co-Founder/Chief Geek at DemandIQ. Amber has also held leadership positions in companies such as Navis, where they were the Vice President of Product Solutions, and The St. Joe Company, where they served as the CMO/Vice President - Digital & Analytics. Additionally, they have significant experience in the vacation rental industry, having worked as the Vice President of eCommerce and Senior Director of eCommerce at Wyndham Vacation Rentals - North America. Amber has a strong background in digital marketing, web development, and data analysis, and their expertise spans across various aspects of the vacation rental industry.
Amber Carpenter completed their Master of Science degree in Technology Leadership at Brown University School of Professional Studies from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they also obtained a certificate in Global Leadership, Innovation & Technology from IE Business School. Prior to that, in 2017, they completed the altMBA program from Seth Godin's altMBA, focusing on Critical Thinking, Decision Making, and Business Strategy.
