Afonso Praça is a seasoned professional in the technology sector, currently serving as a Principal Solutions Engineer at VTEX since July 2012, with a progression through various roles including Senior Solutions Engineer, Solution Engineering Enablement Leader, Product and Tech Lead of VTEX App Store, Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Full Stack Software Developer. Afonso is also a member of the MACH Alliance TECH Council since November 2022 and was previously a Business Partner and Lead Developer at Caos! vídeo & design from June 2009 to June 2012, as well as a System Administrator at the Centro Estadual de Estatísticas, Pesquisas e Formação de Servidores Públicos do Estado do R from May 2008 to May 2009. Afonso holds a Master of Business Administration from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas (2020-2022), a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2008-2014), and completed a Technology Course in Computer Networks and Internet at SENAI - RJ (2005-2006).
