Vess Bakalov is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and investment professional with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as Managing Partner at VT Technology Ventures since August 2016, Bakalov previously founded Pliant.io, an IT Workflow Automation Platform acquired by IBM in September 2024, where Bakalov held the position of CEO. From August 2005 to August 2016, Bakalov was the CTO, EVP of Product, and a founder of SevOne Inc., contributing significantly to the company's technology and strategic direction until its acquisition by Bain Capital. Earlier in their career, Bakalov worked as a Network Architect at JP Morgan Chase and as a Technical Advisor at Conectiv. Bakalov earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware in 1999.
