Sean McGoey is a data journalist currently employed at 1Point21 Interactive since July 2023. With a robust background in investigative reporting and data analysis, McGoey served as a data reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch and was recognized for excellence in journalism with multiple awards from the Virginia Press Association. As a co-host and co-founder of the podcast "It's Pretty OK," McGoey has engaged audiences since 2016 while also managing associated online content. Previous roles include editorial fellow at the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, where McGoey contributed to the Pandora Papers investigation, and data journalist with the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism, focusing on eviction trends during the COVID-19 pandemic. McGoey holds a Master of Journalism from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
