Shyra Smart currently serves as the Chief Development and Strategy Officer and SVP of Business Development and Corporate Development at Vox Media, LLC, since August 2020. Prior to this role, Shyra was the Head of Business Development at New York Magazine from May 2018 to August 2020, a position obtained following the acquisition by Vox Media. Shyra's earlier experience includes roles such as VP of Business Development at TIDAL.com and SVP of Business Development and Strategy at The Daily Beast, as well as various leadership positions at Viacom, including Director of Business Operations and Strategy across multiple brands. Shyra began the career with internships at notable companies such as Fox Searchlight Pictures and HBO, following a solid education background with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
