Edward Wright is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software development and GIS engineering. Currently serving as Staff Engineer and Lead GIS Engineer at Vortexa since January 2016, Edward has held various roles in notable companies including BP as Front Office GIS Engineer, HSBC as FX Options Java Developer, and Barclays Capital as Low Latency Java Equities Developer. With additional experience at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking, SpaceTec Ltd, Murex SA, Calyon, Cisco, and Standard Life, Edward has developed a diverse skill set in Java, .NET, and GIS technologies. Edward holds a BEng (Joint Hons) degree in Computer Science & Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham, obtained between 1989 and 1992.
