Georg Schubiger currently serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Head of Private Clients at Vontobel since August 2012. Prior to Vontobel, Schubiger was the Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Board at Danske Bank Group from 2008 to 2012, where Schubiger also held the position of Head of Business Development and Marketing as a member of the Executive Committee. Earlier in the career, Schubiger was Head of Eastern Europe Banking at Sampo Bank and a member of the Executive Board from 2005 to 2007, as well as serving as Head of Business Development from 2002 to 2004. Schubiger began the professional journey as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company Inc. from 1996 to 2002. Academically, Schubiger holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the College of Europe and a Licentiate in Economics with a focus on Finance from the University of St.Gallen.
