Akmal Kurbanov, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Executive Director at Vontobel since October 2023. Prior to this, Akmal held various leadership positions at Credit Suisse from January 2018 to October 2023, including roles as Director and Vice President, focusing on investment consulting and client management for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and corporate clients across Emerging Europe. Akmal's earlier experience at Saxo Bank spanned from January 2007 to December 2017, where significant accomplishments included growing a substantial book of active trading clients and driving revenue through multi-asset sales and trading advisory. Akmal holds a Master of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Applied Economics and Finance, from Copenhagen Business School, and participated in an MBA exchange semester at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.
