John Mies has over three decades of experience in corporate communications and public relations. Since 2001, John has held various senior roles at Volvo Group, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. Prior to this, John was the Director of Corporate Communications and Manager of Public Relations at Mack Trucks from 1992 to 2001. Earlier career experiences include serving as Press Secretary for the U.S. House of Representatives from January 1991 to June 1992 and working as a Staff Writer for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times from 1989 to 1990. John holds a Master’s degree in Journalism & Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
