Jonita Wooten-Michel LMSW, LSW, SIFI, MBA is an experienced social work professional currently serving as the Clinical Director of Social Workers Families/OMNIA! at Volunteers of America-Greater New York since December 2022. With a longstanding commitment to community service, Jonita has also been a member of the Board of Trustees for URBAN HOOPS AND DREAMS INC since June 2004. Previously, Jonita led as Social Work Supervisor at Selfhelp Community Services from 2006 to December 2022 and held a role as Graduate Assistant at Adelphi University in 2015. Additional experience includes membership in the National Association of Social Workers and serving as a Crisis Manager at JASA from 2000 to 2006. Jonita holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management and Services and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in African-American/Family Studies and Health and Human Services/Gerontology from the University at Buffalo.
