Kirsten Holmes is a Professor at Curtin University and serves as the Co-Director of the Tourism Research Cluster. Since January 2021, Kirsten has also been the Research Director at THE Future CRC, which focuses on establishing a national Cooperative Research Centre to promote sustainable tourism and hospitality in Australia. Additionally, Kirsten holds leadership roles as the Immediate Past Chair and former Chair of the Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) and is involved as Co-Chair of the National Volunteering Research Network with Volunteering Australia. Kirsten is currently the Chair of the Research Committee at Volunteering WA. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from Durham University, a Master of Arts from Nottingham Trent University, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Leeds University Business School, complemented by participation in the Copland Leadership Program at CEDA.
