Aljosa Smolic has a strong background in the field of augmented reality and virtual reality. Aljosa currently works as a Lecturer in AR/VR at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Prior to this, they were a Co-Founder at Volograms, where they played a key role in establishing the company. Aljosa also served as an SFI Research Professor of Creative Technologies at Trinity College Dublin, where they contributed to the research and development of innovative technologies. Aljosa Smolic's expertise in the field is further highlighted by their role as a Senior Research Scientist at Disney Research Zurich and their previous position as a Scientific Project Manager at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI.

Aljosa Smolic obtained their Dipl.-Ing. degree from Technische Universität Berlin, where they studied from 1990 to 1996. Aljosa then pursued further education at RWTH Aachen University, where they obtained their Dr.-Ing. degree, completing their studies in 2001. The field of study for both degrees is not provided.
