Jeff Adams

Co-founder, Chief Speech Officer at VoiceScript, Inc.

Jeff Adams has a strong background in the field of speech and language technology. Jeff is the CEO and Founder of Cobalt Speech & Language, a technology consulting company that focuses on cognitive computing, particularly speech and language technology. Jeff has also worked as the Chief Speech Officer and founder of Canary Speech, as well as the Co-founder and Chief Speech Officer of Voicescript.

In addition, Jeff co-founded OmniBot.ai and served as the Co-founder and Chief Scientist. OmniBot is Europe's first Voice and Conversational AI platform solutions provider, with a proprietary AI platform that includes best-in-class Speech Recognition technology developed by Jeff.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Jeff worked at Amazon as the founding manager of the Alexa speech group. Jeff led efforts to build one of the industry's leading speech and language groups, developing ASR and NLU for the Alexa platform and contributing to speech capabilities in other Amazon products.

Prior to Amazon, Jeff was the VP of Research at Yap, Inc., where they built a speech research team and developed speech technology for the voicemail-to-text market. Jeff also served as the Director of Language Modeling R&D at Nuance, playing a key role in delivering accuracy improvements for Dragon NaturallySpeaking and developing medical dictation products and international versions.

Earlier in their career, Jeff held roles at ScanSoft, Inc., Lernout & Hauspie, and Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products, where they focused on language modeling research and management.

Jeff Adams attended Brigham Young University from 1978 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Jeff then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1988 to 1989, although no specific degree was mentioned. Jeff Adams later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1990. Finally, they attended the University of Oregon from 1992 to 1995, again specializing in Mathematics.
