Dan Erck

Chief Operating Officer at Viva Voyage

Dan Erck has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer at Viva Voyage, an online travel agency specializing in selling cruises to customers in high-growth markets outside the United States. In this role, they focus on accelerating partnerships with key cruise lines and scaling the company's sales and customer support operations.

Prior to their current position, Dan worked at Indigo as the VP & General Manager, Marketplace. Dan was responsible for negotiating more than $1 billion in grain transaction commitments as the head of the partner sales channel for Indigo's Crop Marketplace business. Indigo is an agriculture technology startup that develops microbial and digital technologies to improve grower profitability and environmental sustainability.

Before joining Indigo, Dan had a successful career at Adobe, where they held the role of Regional VP, Americas Sales and Field Operations for Adobe Primetime. Adobe Primetime is a multiscreen TV platform that assists broadcasters, cable networks, and service providers in creating and monetizing personalized streaming experiences. Some of their flagship customers included Comcast, DIRECTV, MLBAM, NBC Sports Group, Time Warner Cable, and Turner Broadcasting.

Prior to their time at Adobe, Dan worked for Auditude, which was later acquired by Adobe. As the VP, Platform Sales and Services, they led sales, account management, and client services for the Auditude video ad platform business. During their time there, they played a key role in signing major customers such as Comcast, Dailymotion, Major League Baseball, and News Corp.

Dan's career also includes a stint at Google, where they served as the VP, Strategic Accounts at DoubleClick (acquired by Google). In this role, they headed the sales and account management team responsible for AOL, Time Inc., Turner Broadcasting, and Warner Bros.

Additionally, Dan worked at Time Inc. as the Interactive Development Manager, where they directed sales development, marketing strategy, and editorial operations for Time Inc.'s international websites. Dan began their career as a Senior Producer and Reporter at Time Magazine, reporting articles for Time's Asia edition and managing the development of the regional website, based in Hong Kong.

Dan Erck completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American government from Georgetown University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on general management at Harvard Business School, attending from 2002 to 2004.
