Stine Liv Buur currently serves as Design Manager Classics at Vitra, a position held since December 2013, and has previously held roles such as Senior Researcher, Design Researcher, and Marketing Manager Research within the same company. Prior to Vitra, Stine Liv Buur worked as a PhD Researcher focused on luxury and modern furniture at Fritz Hansen from February 2009 to November 2013. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Luxury and Danish furniture tradition from the Royal Danish Academy and Copenhagen Business School (2009-2013), as well as a degree in Architecture with a focus on furniture, architecture, and industrial design from the Royal Danish Academy (1999-2006). Stine Liv Buur authored the book "Chairs' Tectonics," which explores essential insights related to modern furniture art.
