Walter Eevers is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, valorisation, and commercialisation strategies within the scientific community. Currently serving as Director of Research & Valorisation and Director of Research and Development at VITO since September 2013, Walter focuses on enhancing scientific excellence and the impact of VITO towards sustainability. Additionally, Walter holds various prominent roles, including Visiting Professor at Universiteit Antwerpen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at EnergyVille, and Chair and Vice President of CO₂ Value Europe. With a robust educational background featuring a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Antwerp and several advanced executive programs from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and Saïd Business School, Walter consistently contributes to boards and advisory committees, influencing research and development across multiple sectors.
