Eline Vanuytrecht is a highly experienced professional in the fields of natural capital accounting and water resources engineering, currently serving as Project Manager for Natural Capital Accounting at VITO since September 2024, while also holding a position as Guest Professor at KU Leuven since September 2019. Prior to this, Eline worked as a Climate Change Adaptation & Human Health Expert at the European Environment Agency from September 2022 to August 2024, and as a Research & Development Climate Services leader at VITO from May 2019 to September 2022. Eline's extensive background includes a post-doctoral research role at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) - KU Leuven and consultancy work for FAO focusing on crop modeling. Eline's academic journey includes multiple Master's degrees from KU Leuven, Erasmushogeschool Brussel, and Universidad de Córdoba, as well as valuable experience as a visiting scientist at CSIRO and Rothamsted Research, and internships in journalism.
