Hannah Barrett

Program Assistant at Vital Voices

Hannah is the Program Assistant for the Global Network and Regional Engagement team at Vital Voices. She provides programmatic support for projects across the GNRE team including the Urgent Assistance Fund and the Afghanistan Crisis Response. Hannah has a BA in International Studies and a minor in the Arabic Language from American University. She is currently pursuing an MA in Security Studies and a certificate in Gender, Peace, and Security at Georgetown University where she focuses her studies on the intersection of identity and security. As an undergraduate, Hannah researched international conflict resolution during her time studying abroad in Jordan, Morocco, and Belgium. She has interned for US Senator Ed Markey’s legislative office and re-election campaign as well as the civil rights team at Muslim Advocates. Before joining Vital Voices, Hannah provided logistical support for the Concordia Annual Summit as Concordia’s Registration Coordinator.
