Mark Vedder is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Software Engineer IV at VisualDx since June 2021, Mark leads Scrum initiatives and specializes in Java and Kotlin to create Medical Informatics software aimed at reducing diagnostic errors. Prior to VisualDx, Mark held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters from February 2006 to June 2021, where collaboration with Data Scientists focused on machine learning applications in natural language processing and information analysis. Mark's career began as a Senior Software Engineer at Electronic Data Systems, where notable projects included web-based terminal emulation systems. Mark also served in the United States Army Reserve from 1986 to 1999. Academic qualifications include graduate studies in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ithaca College.
